Has the TV been babysitting your child? I would limitation the amount of TV time allowed and limit it to college stuff. Nature channel, animal shows, hobbies. It might stimulate him to become interested within the things that he is seeing on TV and pick up a new hobby. Just be prepared to support it. My daughter in a minute loves outdoor life and we fish A LOT! Plus she see arts and crafts on the public television shows that we try at home.
