Why are doctors allowed to drug test in need authorization and refuse to verbs current treatments when the drug test fail?
A doctor cannot do any tests in need authorization. However, you probably authorized him to do the test in need realizing it. When a doctor say he wants to act tests to diagnose you, you probably said yes. If the doctor feel a drug test be warranted, next you gave consent.
Of course, you shouldn't conceal your drug use with your doctor. You doctor can lone accurately treat you if he is fully informed.
Why can he refuse treatment? Well, if he is refuse treatment because he thinks the drug use will interfere beside the treatment, then he have a duty to terminate treatment. If he is refuse treatment because he is against drugs, this is also permissible so long as the treatment is not an emergency treatment. A doctor is a fiduciary and have to act contained by your best interest. The doctor can terminate the fiduciary relationship, but he can't do it to your detriment. Thus, so long as he terminate while you are in duplicate position as when you came contained by, it is okay.
